Founder

A Malibu resident since 1961, Paul Major started Major Landscape Co. in 1977 and has since completed hundreds of projects in Malibu and the surrounding areas. Paul’s life in Malibu is focused around his love for the ocean. Over the years this has been the main inspiration in all of his work. An avid free diver, watermen, ceramicist, and artist, in his free time Paul enjoys honing his skill by exploring many different fields of creativity these provide an abundance of expertise and knowledge.

One of his many hobbies is traveling and learning about the different varieties of flora and fauna that our world has to offer. Over the years Paul has developed his own varieties of oranges and avocados specifically grown for the California coastal region. He maintains a private test garden where new seeds and plants are grown to further his understanding of the plant world. Some of these plants include native varieties that are specific to the Malibu coast while others range in diversity from the deserts of Mexico to the rain forests of the tropic.
